Meet Jamaica
Jamaica Taylor, MSW
Hi, I’m Jamaica Taylor, MSW, Supervisee in Social Work, QMHP, and a passionate mental health professional dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence, healing, and purpose. I earned my Clinical Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, trauma-related experiences, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. I understand that seeking therapy can be difficult, and I strive to meet each client where they are while helping them identify strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals. As a therapist, I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all. I use a person-centered approach while incorporating evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs. My goal is to help clients build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting positive change in their lives.
Outside of therapy, I am also a dance fitness instructor and advocate for overall wellness. I believe mental health and physical health are deeply connected, and I encourage a holistic approach to self-care and healing. Whether you’re facing a difficult season, processing past experiences, or simply looking for support and personal growth, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
